This statement only confirms some radical words spoken before by Jesus: Luke 11.23; 16.23 Mat. With regard to Jesus, we can only be in two postures, and that, whatever the status or function of which, moreover, may be asserted in the eyes of men, either with Him or against Him! Chapter 21, verses 37 and 38

The timetable of Jesus

Before turning to the chapter which introduces the events that will lead to the arrest and trial of Jesus, Luke tells us about what, in the last weeks of his life, occupied his time. The program of Jesus was divided into two equal periods to content:

1st period: day

now installed in Jerusalem, Jesus, Luke says, his time spent in the temple to teach everyone that many, came to listen. Chapter 21, Verses 28-36

V 28-36: Preparation:

Contrary to the way in which we act sometimes, it becomes clear that the purpose of revealing Jesus to His disciples what will happen in the future is not to satisfy their curiosity or to awaken in them a taste for speculation. Knowledge of the prophecies related to contemporary and future historical facts which will mark the path of the disciples to His return should result in them two types of attitude:

first attitude : Expectation of redemption marked by the encouragement that communicates the certainty of hope. If the beginning of the fulfillment of the warning signs of the coming glory of the Lord will be an anguish of growing up in the world is the opposite effect that will occur in the heart of the disciples. The return of Jesus, His coming in glory in His kingdom should be called the expectation conditioned at every moment our behavior.
